Rear brakes help 911
So I changed out the studs in the fron with no problems and put my 15mm spacers in.. I got the breaks and rotor off on the rears.. the axle isnt turining so I thought I could just put in neutral.. soooo I pressed on my brake pedal ...fail... i knew right then ho the hell am i going to get the brake pads pushed back in
1. I have the sport brakes.. I pushed in one side but I cannot budge the other side of the brake pads.. what do I do??? cars on jacks and im lost.. So the question is on the rear sport brakes how do I get the pads to go back so i can fit them over the rotor? |

to make room for the pads? stick a large screwdriver between the one side of the rotor and caliper deep enough to contact the brake piston and push the screwdriver away from the rotor pushing on the brake piston creating room for the pad to be reinstalled once. Do the same for the other side. Careful not to push the brake pistons to open? or you my refill the brake reservoir and may leak in the engine compartment.
