Need a 4wd car for this weekend.
Does anybody have any thoughts to as how I should go about borrowing a 4wd truck or car. Id rather not have to rent one and would be willing to put my Z down as collateral. I need to go up to tahoe and it will be snowing and im not trying to get my z stuck. Thanks

Why the hell would you want to put your Z down as collateral instead of renting anyways? If you somehow are able to broker a deal like that and wreck the 4wd... Guess what... They get the Z! If you just rent the stupid thing insurance takes care of any accidents.

dude, seriously put down whatever your smoking ^^^ that said, how do you go about fixing a so called borrowed car if there is an engine problem or worst a nicely bald set of tires you can go A55 skating across roads that are covered black ice. borrowing a car is just as bad as shooting one self in the foot.
lots of rental car places have AWD and 4wd SUV's for rent but you will have to buy your own set of chains for this, still though driving up in that area in the winter is not fun unless you got a laundry list of items added to your car as back up. just as a back up plan to have in the car or SUV small bag of salt bag of kitty litter de-icer cable/chains opt for extra insurance, most cases its expensive to rent for the weekend but its better to have sound peace of mind not worrying if something goes wrong with a borrowed vehicle. |
