This was my whole reason for the thread because if the stillen is going to run cold during the winter...ill have to ask scott if they can get me the gtm instead with the plates ...might reschedule though since i just remembered that its my birthday on saturday. |

Not sure where you read that, sorry for the confusion, but all STILLEN Oil Coolers come with a thermostatic plate, which will begin opening at 160 degrees and be fully open at 180 degrees, allowing your car to safely come to temperature. And Fontana Nissan is a great place to have it installed.. those guys are on the ball. |

^ xdeslitx, I am still on nissan ester oil. Triple's is on red line oil. I would stay with the motor oil with ester additive. I might switch to Motul or red line.

To the original poster...last winter I covered most of my oil cooler with a home made cover. Works like a charm. Before my morning temps would not go over 165. With the cover even with ambient temps in the high 30's my oil temp still reached 180. |

Most won't need one, but there are certain times of the year, and definitely certain climates can keep things too cool. My apologies, I was under the impression all customers had been contacted for the exchange. |

Hey XDeslitX, didn't you recently get your car? how many miles did you put on it? I was wondering when should I do my oil change also, I have about 700 miles on mine already.
