christian370z 12-07-2010 12:48 PM

I have never tried it, but I always think of it after that guy with a GSXR put a bottle in his tank and went on a forum asking why his bike wasn't running well anymore!

That was a comical thread, it went viral shortly after it emerged haha. I can't wait for the Ojai cruise, I am getting my Swift springs installed tomorrow morning and that will be as good of a test as any!

I have a question for you guys: I have been looking to get a GoPro HD for Christmas but I am now debating getting a reasonably priced true HD camcorder as an alternative. Would you rather go with a GoPro over a regular camcorder?

I would go for a regular camcorder if you are able to mount it to your car somehow since it will be something that you can use elsewhere.

I don't see a problem with it... But look at the +/-'s of each in your decision:

GoPro: Good for Car Stuff, bad for Not so car stuff...

HD Cam: Good for Not so car stuff, bad for car stuff...

Honestly Best option of course would be to get Both!

:iagree: If you can firmly mount the HD cam to your car for runs and such, then thats the clear winner... Just depends on if you would cry or not if it came loose lol

I know of ways to mount a camcorder, but I could also see myself using the GoPro on bike rides which a true camcorder would obviously not take well. Plus, it would be cool to be able to mount the camera outside at certain times.

I guess GoPro it is! Andrew and Nelson's footage looks great too.
