Has anyone taken their 370 to this event?
Sounds like fun but kind of iffy about it since this is my first rear wheel platform.
Do you think I'd need extra wheels for a 1 hr session?

i would not recommend it for beginners as the track is a kart track and its kinda tight for the 370z

There's supposedly a session for beginners at 6pm. I don't know how to drift either.

Do you think it would be better to go to the Irwindale Speedway Drift Night that they hold every last friday of the month? I'm guessing the course won't be as tight as the Adam's one.

I don't know if it's a good idea to let some beginners drifting around your brand new car~I will rather go solo

im pretty sure that you would go one by one during the beginners sessions.
There was something called Drift 101 too for Irwindale but when I went to the website, it has'nt been updated for a while.

iv taken mine to the event in irwindale, it seems more beginner friendly; therefore i'd suggest you try that first. but i paid for the whole night and only got like 5 runs. here's a video of my z at irwindale speedway. and my tires are still good, but thats probably because i suck at drifting.

Nice. From your video it seems like there's more room for mistakes at the Irwindale track than there would be at the Kart track. Did you happen to see if they were still doing Drift 101 at Irwindale? I'm sure we can just go sideways in our cars, but I probably wouldn't mind paying for a quick lesson.

Also, were you using your stock tires? How many miles did you wait till you drifted your Z? I'm still in my break in period, about 500-something miles.

Im on stock tires, i had about 10k miles on the car. I have no idea about the drift lessons, all i did was kick the clutch and seemed to work well for me. but our cars have some kind of stability control even with traction control off, this makes it difficult to slide. do some research in the track section about turning that off, or talk to a member named triples, he'll help you out. also, you might want to get an oil cooler and break fluid because it will get pretty hot. you should also wait until you break in the car, just in case.

I am stuck between the stillen and the gtm oil coolers, Can't really decide which one to go with yet. I'll probably see triples at the next monthly meet. Did you change your brake fluid? If so, which one did you go with and did you do it yourself?

i put RBF600 break fluid myself, and i got a stillen 25 row oil cooler, it works very well. my cousin helped me install the oil cooler, took a few hours though. but i heard some people were having issues about where they run the lines the wrong way and having the oil leak or something like that. so if your concerned about any of this kind of stuff, then get it done by a mechanic, or do some research on how to prevent something like this.

yeah, ill most likely just do like 2 runs. then i'll just watch my friend "drift" his 240. should be fun watchin some noobs try to slide lol.

Let me know when you're going next. Where in Cali are you? Down for a caravan?
It'll probably be a few months before I can drift her though, need to get some aftermarkets and break in.
