+1 to test driving both!

but my $0.02
I own a 370Z and had plenty of seat time in a G37S. [As expected] the Z feels more raw and connected to the driver. The G feels softer and more comfy. Biggest difference you'll notice are: seating position, weight difference, and the big dumbo side mirrors on the Z.

I cross shopped the two last year. I ultimately went with the G37 mostly because it is a quieter, more comfortable ride. I was driving up to LA every week and often doing conference calls in the car. The G37 is much quieter on the road. Neither car would be my "sports car" anyway, so that didn't really matter.

If picking between the two for a "sports car", I say go with the lighter platform.
