I really want to go, but I'm 50/50 at the moment...may need to request Wed off so I can stay the entire day =).

Scott@FontanaNissan 01-20-2010 05:53 PM

it's only in the evening...you could be back in San Diego by Midnight!

I have tue and weds off. This would be perfect. The first time I went to willow springs I was scared of all the faster cars there. They would pass me so quick I thought I was going to get hit and wasn't sure if I should get off the correct lines and let them pass or stay on the correct lines and let them pass. Either way I had more fun in my crappy RSX than I did driving at my police academy! lol Now the Z should be much more fun.

This sounds pretty fun. I'm in but hopefully I'm not the only one :shakes head:

Come on guys, rain should be gone by then and its 20 bucks

PS. Wife says she may want a stab at it.... She already scares the crap out of me in her Rover, this should be interesting...:icon14:

Haha I know, but I'd have to be home much earlier than that, I have work at 7am....

Sacrifices...racing is worth it! ;)

Anybody have a helmet I can borrow, or where I can buy one without breaking the bank?

Scott@FontanaNissan 01-21-2010 03:44 PM

Any motorcycle shop should carry helmets....or Chapparral? Or go online -- saferacer.com

motoextreme 01-21-2010 04:39 PM

Phelan, I have a couple really nice Arai RX7's, some of the best $ can buy. If your either an XL or M you can borrow one of mine. The M is for my wife and she's never worn it.

I'm saying ok to you only because I know you'll take a shower that day, right?

HAHAAHAHAHA

elmz 01-21-2010 11:30 PM

BTW what does it mean to have a "SNELL approved helmet"? I have a Z1R DOT helmet, will that be ok?

motoextreme 01-21-2010 11:36 PM

DOT is fine bro and 99% of the tracks rarely look unless you show up with a skull cap or some swap meet pc of ****

motoextreme 01-21-2010 11:37 PM

Let me know if your going Phelan, I'm too scared to go by myself

Minicobra1 01-22-2010 12:24 AM

I've never been there, but when I looked it up online the track seams pretty small, wasn't that designed as a go-cart track originally?

motoextreme 01-22-2010 12:31 AM

Not sure and not to go off topic but that reminds me. Kart's are SWEET! Had the pleasure of taking a 250 kart out to a track once, man was that insane! PLUS our main warehouse has a 40 Acre paved lot around it, good place to practice.

That's what I should get, you just reminded me of those things, so cool.

If its indeed a kart track I dont want to take the Nismo on it, that wont be fun but I'm still up for a meet.
