I don't know if I want to drop by. The traffic going 405S to the 22 is quit bad during the rush hours. I hate sitting in the traffic.

My post is #4602 on page 307 on that site. No one is talking trash on thier meet post since I said members from here may go. I don't know where that impression came from....The only thing I noticed was they added my screen name to the list and I clearly stated the car I'm coming in.

The meet is at 6:30, traffic is usually at it's peak from 4:30 to 6 so it shouldn't be too bad unless you are driving from far.

If you guys want to go but are afraid to be the first 370 to roll in alone we can meet up first. I grew up in that area so I'm familiar with it. On the other side of the 22 there is a Honda Dealer with a small church behind it. We can meet there at 6:15 if you guys want in the church parking lot. It's a low key meet spot, my in-laws live right up the street. We can wait until 6:45 then go up a few lights to the meet location if you guys like:

Foursquare Gospel Church in Westminster corner of 23rd & Jackson.
(not sure how to link a Google Map picture):

The guy who organized the meet also posted this for who ever is interested:

If you want to come out to the club for sure, just let me know or let us know at the car-meet. My friend will take care of it for us

oh you will be ;) jk. I will start going to these meets if a lot of you guys go. We should start our own 350/370z meets. We def need to get track days going though or even if its just a cruise through a good driving road.

edit: btw where you guys live? I live in East Lake in SD. I feel like you guys all live way up north from me. A drive to LA from SD is like 2 hours 1 way! In traffic ofcourse

motoextreme 01-24-2010 08:20 PM

I'm about 10 minutes North of Disneyland.

Make the trip, we'll make our own meet.

dude... DISNEYLAND! Havent been in a few years but now its not as fun as it used to be. I am down for what ever. I don't know of any good roads to cruise on except out to Julian from East Lake. And in Julian theres apple pie and MILFS!!!!!!! A great combination. Cept yall seem to be married. I need to learn how to track my Z without totalling it. :roflpuke2:

motoextreme 01-24-2010 09:05 PM

Talk to KillerBee, he frequents the track. Mike from DD motorsports races full time.

If you enter a Beginner class they don't allow a bunch of passing. Good way to get started without hurting your ride too much. I'll likely go when things dry up a bit, looking forward to it actually!

KillerBee370 01-24-2010 09:50 PM

Yeah actually depending on what organization you go to the track with, they usually have several different run groups. A good way to get started and just learn the basics is in the beginner group. Also, they usually always have instructors that will ride with you for one session or all of your sessions if you want. I still use instructors when I go to a new track. It really is the most fun you can have with your car.

And don't worry about wrecking your ride. Even the higher run groups have point-by passing and remember, you're not there "racing" but simply running your car to have fun so you don't have to push it past where you're absolutely comfortable. IF however, an accident does occur (and sometimes they do) and you absolutely rely on your car as a DD for work, etc., then I wouldn't recommend it. I have more than one car so I know in the worst case scenario I won't have to bus it should my Z get an owie.

haha yeah the daily driver/weekened racer isn't a bad thing is it? I graduated from a law enforcement academy and we had quite a bit of track time in crown vics and dodge charger r/t's. Despite all that training it didn't help much with a manual tranny. Too much to think about it seemed but with more practice I can definetely get the hang of it. Unfortunately local tracks don't allow the pitting maneuver to move up positions ;)
