Wow oh wow do you guys need some motivation. Aside from being the most fun you can have on four wheels, it really would be nice to see more 370's out there (besides my ONE)

A little extra motivation for you:

KillerBee370 12-22-2009 07:46 PM

haha.. looks like I won't be the only 370z there on Sunday! Someone named "Cowboy" is also signed up. Anyone on here?

TARDCORE 12-25-2009 11:10 PM

once I get my Z I will be joining you if you go a lot. I have only tracked my RSX once at willow springs a long time ago. What was up with that camaro? It seemed to pull on you pretty hard and its not even that much faster than the Z. was it modded?

vipor 12-25-2009 11:27 PM

looks awesome KB. wish the in-car cam was a lil lower though :stirthepot:

gf just got me a track weekend for xmas, can't wait :excited:

perfect timing on your post

motoextreme 12-26-2009 12:00 AM

That looks REALLY fun! Not a big fan of Fontana on bikes but in a car it looks great.

370z4Steve 12-26-2009 12:58 AM

Flywheel. I'm at 315 to the wheels. I just added the 55 extra to the flywheel. Who know's if that's accurate... I just went off whp.

That was a C6 Corvette. No Camaros at the track that day. And if it was a Camaro... there's no way in hell I would've let it get the drop on me :bowrofl:

(from the vid, I can kinda see where the back looked like a new model Camaro for a bit there)

tru_Asiatik 01-05-2010 12:15 AM

I'm not sure but I think you can sign up until just a couple days prior. They are still accepting sign up's for their event on the 9th and it's already the 4th. The only problem with waiting is that the run groups fill up and you might not get into a certain run group as they limit the amount of cars on the track at once per run group.

tru_Asiatik 01-05-2010 12:26 AM

michael right?

thanks bro...im just waiting for the nxt paycheck...if i miss the deadline ill for sure do the next one

this would be my first time in a race track(mostly do canyon runs)

Yes it's Michael. Hopefully you will make it in time. Since it's your first time to the track, when you sign up definitely take advantage of doing one (or more) of your run sessions with an instructor. (I still do it for new tracks that I haven't run on) I cannot say enough about this.

Ambient temps should be pretty low this time of year so you should be ok. But either way, you will have a blast!

SilverBullet 01-05-2010 12:13 PM

Where can I go to do the tech inspection?

KillBill 01-05-2010 12:55 PM

I plan on being there on Sunday too

M.Bonanni 01-05-2010 01:53 PM

Have fun out there! I think the current track record there for a 370Z is 1:55.534 by Paul @ AE Performance. I wanna see a 1:54 out of someone :D.

The tech form is on their website. Just print it out and go over it. It's the honor system but you must show up with it to race.

Look at the left side of the homepage on their site.

Honestly I don't know for sure but I can tell you that I was just out there today and there is still snow on the mountains surrounding that area so ambient temps should be low.

Limp mode goes into effect at 260 degrees so if you are able to keep it under that, then you should be fine.

One suggestion is to come to the track to see how you even like it. But you are going to have to make this call for yourself.

KillerBee370 01-16-2010 10:31 AM

Bump for tomorrow! :woot:

There is still room in all classes except beginner for Sunday! Either sign up online today or just show up to the track driver meeting in the morning with cash and your tech sheet. And drive!

motoextreme 01-17-2010 01:37 AM

Is it raining tomorrow? Like to swing by and watch you win since I can't make a track day. Hopefully the weather holds up. I want to try and see what time its going down tomorrow so I can try and swing by KB.

Sorry I missed this post. Just got back from the track. Had a great day and bested my time by 2 seconds! It didn't start raining until the end of the day. I ran the last session with a light sprinkle and still only ran a second slower than my fastest.

Next time we will coordinate beforehand.

motoextreme 01-17-2010 09:23 PM

Definitely, would of went but this jet lag from my recent trip finally caught up to me and I laid in bed for most of the morning.

Glad you kicked a$$ brother, wish I could of seen it.

Talk to you soon.

KillBill 01-17-2010 11:21 PM

I was there today...it was fun getting a little bit of rain on the track...an opportunity to slide around a bit. The record for the 370 is 1:55...damn..my best today was 2:05. Im hoping to get under 2 minutes this year...

KillerBee370 01-19-2010 10:13 AM

Yeah the best I could do was a 2:04.XXX. I will try this year to make some changes to the car and try to hit a sub 2 min. as well.

teejnut 01-24-2010 11:57 PM

KillerBee,
I'm planning on going to the event on 2/20 at Big Willow, you going? Wanted to ask you about the tow hook policy for Speed Ventures. On their site it says you need a tow hook installed front and rear. Did you have one installed front and rear?

M.Bonanni 01-25-2010 11:21 AM

^^^Don't mean to answer a question meant for KillerBee370...well...I guess I do, but hopefully he wont mind lol.

Installing your factory tow hook on the front of the car will suffice for the front and the factory tow hook underneath your car in the rear will suffice for the rear. If the 370Z did not have a factory tow hook then in the rear, then you would have to add one. The factory 370Z tow hook is located underneath the car on the driver's side.

Ditto. They really only require that you have a front hook in or know of a tow point otherwise as the tow vehicle won't be held financially responsible for any damage done upon them having to figure it out on thier own and inadvertently causing such damage.
