Front License Plate

I hate to mess up the front end with the plate. Has anyone been cited? What is the fine?

Thanks

Use to be $70.00. You'll get a fix it ticket! A police officer has to sign it off. "After he visually inspects, what ever the citation was for".

You Calis have to put a front plate on? Bummer, man. :ugh2:

Ever considered these? They attach right to your tow hitch so no messing with the front bumper.

That's what I would do, if I had one!

And you get a Stillen logo on your plate holder. Win/win. +10 HP guaranteed.

Please... I replaced it em with these and those gave me an additional +7hp!

No front plate for me EVER. I've been sited once already and it's fine. You just tempararily stick it on (I use velcro), get it signed off, pay the $15. and go back to life as you know it.

I think that's if you don't get it signed off ?

I heard getting things signed off for a fix-it ticket is a bitch.

Well that depends on what you mean by "things". A front plate is as simple as putting the plate on and flagging down any cop (or going to your local police station) and having any cop sign the ticket after they look at the car. For my front plate violation, I pulled up to the station, got out and stuck the front plate on (velcro), went in and got a cop who barely stuck his head out the door, looked at my car and signed the ticket. I then left, pulled the plate off the car and got in and off I went.

Now if you have a non correctable violation such as modified parts (exhaust, catalytics, etc.) that require you to visit the state referee, then yes, you won't simply get the sign off until they do a visual (and sometimes smog) inspection of your vehicle. Mostly riced out vehicles get those kinds of violations. Cops won't bother with a higher price point 370Z. Thank God too because I got all sorts of violations... haha

Does anyone know if you get "put in their system" for this? What I mean to say is, if you get caught/cited two or three times, do they know you keep doing it and hit you with a bigger penalty or something?

If you don't pay it,Yep! Caught two or three times, no! Fix it tickets are not put on your record.

Just heads up on those that might get this bracket. Make sure you trim or use shorter screws than the ones that the package came with. There was still about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from the end of the screw to the front plastic. I didn't think too much of it, til after a few days It had damaged the front plastic.

I didn't know the vibration or possibly bumps o the road would cause it to hit even with that much gap. Lesson learned!;)
