Holy sh**. Just read this whole thread. What a douche bag. If there is anyway I can help, let me know. This happened to me about 3 years ago. A dude bought one of my cars with a CASHIERS CHECK!! I deposited no problem until about 2 weeks later when my bank called and said it was returned! He apparently reported the check stolen to the bank, got a new one and BAM! I was suckered. I agree with everyone that says cash, paypal or wire. NOTHING ELSE!!! I feel like loading up my guns and taking a long azz drive to cali and hunting down this bastard myself......but that would be illegal. I hope you find this deadbeat!!!!

Anyone, anyone!!!!! I suspect the OP has taken this one in the shorts and marked it down as a learning experience.
Postal Money Order ONLY and nothing else. No cashiers checks, no PayPal, no personal checks, no bank checks, ever. Last edited by Skull Crusher; 02-08-2012 at 04:23 PM. |

Well, the only thing I can add is;
being this was a fraudulent Internet purchase it becomes the jurisdiction of the FBI, not the local police. They should have been contacted immediately. This was never done. People suffer this type of fraudulent activity everyday and this is no exception. Acting quickly and reporting it can ensure immediate results. This is not a case of petty larceny but grand larceny and is an imprisionable offense. Had the OP acted upon the information with the FBI, I would dare say he would be on his way to receiving the money back and the perpetrator who is known, would be on his way to prison. Any action by the OP to personally retrieve the money by force or make public threats would be deemed a criminal act. END OF LINE Last edited by Skull Crusher; 02-15-2012 at 11:41 PM. |

Really?!? Just read through this whole post for this ending. I thought reading books sucked, but hell at least they have an ending.
