Hi guys, a very very very painful day for me.
The car got on the carrier the 5th day after FairladyZ40th tested it, then arrived in Dallas last Thursday (approx. a week travel time). Car was as described....except.... 3 penny to quarter size paint touchup that are bulged up right on the rear hatch, two of them were like a pimples that have been squeezed and the other one was like a big bubble... Then, there's a big ding (paint missing) about a couple inches to the side of the rear Nissan emblem.... Long story short, CarMax did send the car out and got all taken care of. Even cleaned the door handle (it was dirty, this car has white interior). I went to look today, and it's fine. However, wife was really turned off by this whole thing plus it's just an indulgence to start with. Exactly one week ago, we walked in to CarMax with a checkbook to take it home. One week later, wife got cold feet. $550 to ship to car, and someone in Dallas is gonna get this car on my dime. This car would've been the perfect mate to the 09 Nismo....Nismo is bare bone, not even illuminated door sill. This touring is exact opposite. God damn it.....

Wow, well I certainly did not expect that :/. I'm terribly sorry I let you down, I was very certain you wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest bit. By any chance do you have images of the issues you found? I did a full walk around the car top to bottom along with my wife. Not sure where we went wrong but I figured the machine pulls good tyranny is good, suspension was sturdy and the engine seemed fine. Other than a cosmetic clean up I'd figure you'd go for it? As for the ding that wasn't there when I checked it man I'm pretty sure I couldn't have missed it which means they probably damaged it on delivery? As for the bubbles yeah I would say that's something I could have over looked. I still don't think you should let it go. The car is more than whole and it's at a good price and all plus you've made the investment already. Again it's my opinion and my thoughts for a small touch up that can buffed out I feel maybe you're letting something really nice go. Blessings sometimes come disguised. I apologize for the disappointment I'll keep it in mind if there's ever a next time. Maybe I shouldn't of done anything due to liabilities...

Hey bud, not a worry! Car was indeed stout. Felt like the tranny shifts a bit quicker than the G37s. When I drove it, it's interesting how different it is then either the G and my current Z.
The ding was most likely caused by the transport. I actually wittiness something similar outside my local carmax. The guy bumped a jeep right up against a Silverado when inching up onto the carier. Luckily both had stout bumpers. And carmax took care of both the ding and the touchup/bubble spots. Currently as it sits, one can't tell there was ever any issue. I am perfectly fine to buy it but wife's feet got too cold during the week. All is well. I love the car and still do. Actually, if carmax wanted the drop the price by say $600, wife would've gone for it that first night, without them going thru the trouble of correcting the paint (wet sanding and then buff).

My post was not to imply you did something wrong. Not a worry. I fully understood the review was subjective. I appreciate your help, honestly.
Really, nothing to worry or sorry about. I was prepared to transport the car to Dallas sight unseen and the whole thing chain of event would've been the same.

Goodness, I envy you in a good way X) I bought mine after she got used up pretty good and so my clutch was giving issues by making some squeeking noise after like 2 months. I checked my warranty cover and it doesn't cover squat. Literally just a pice of paper sold to me to get more money from me. And so I replaced my clutch with the CSC and turns out I bought a shitty brand and I put in a 6puck which is the worst for DD and now my issue is 3 times as bad as before haha. Lucky me right? Also my suspension is acting up too now... I feel like an idiot but I love this car so freaking much haha X) wish I could get some sponsors X)
