Exhaust control valve or cutout?

Hello,

I have a 370z with Nismo exhaust, otherwise stock. I have been trying to make the car louder, but would like to have the option of making the exhaust quiet at will.

I have been looking into getting a manual control valve or go electric (e.g. QTP cutout), but was wondering how loud the exhaust would be with the valves open, especially inside the cabin. I know the cutout would bypass the mufflers completely so it'll most likely be earth shatteringly loud, i.e. vibrating all the interior panels?

Does anybody have a similar set up to this and will be at one of the upcoming meets? I'm in the 626 area and would love to hear this kind of set up in person.

Any advice appreciated

Nobody is running a cutout on their 370?

You can always install "orifice flanges" (blind flanges with a hole drilled in them) on the cut-outs. Start with a 3/8" or so hole. If not loud enough, drill out hole a little bigger; repeat as needed.

Thanks for your suggestion :)

My Nismo exhaust is loud but I have test pipes and larger Y-pipe installed. No cut outs here. If I want quiet I just let off the throttle.
