Default Forced Induction in Socal ?

Hi guys, I have some questions and I need some advises here.

I'm thinking about saving for FI. My budget will be 10-15k. I was looking at the Stillen supercharger kit because it's the only Carb-approved kit here in CA. It makes decent power but I think I will want more than that. Now I'm looking for another option that is Boosted Performance Turbo kit which is not carb-approved. It makes me nervous since the cops around here are not really friendly

The Z is my only car and it's my daily driver. I know some of you on here have supercharged, or Twin Turbo on your car. Can you share some experiences with the cop ? maintenance ? advice ?

Thanks.
