I have the ART pipes and FI CBE with 12" resonators. While cruising, cabin noise is normal, on the throttle it does get louder. I'm happy with mine. Huck here on the forum has the LTH + CBE from FI and is louder than mine. He used dynomat on the inside and made a world of difference. So that's an option if you feel it is too loud when you get yours.

Agreed, I have about 30sqft of GTmat from when Pintsize was the manager, 20 in the hatch and 10 in the two doors, brought the cabin noise down by about 10-12db if I remember correctly. Its a pretty good product for a much better price than dynomat or the other big brands.

Honestly, if you're worried about a lot of noise in your cabin, then I would suggest just going with the 18 inch resonators. 12 inch resonators are for people who want their exhaust to be loud outside and noticeable inside. I have no resonators on mine and it's borderline race car status. I love a loud, ballsy exhaust and mine was a bit too loud for me inside the car, it was actually hard to have a conversation but it sounded amazing outside and I didn't want to lose that. Thus the GTmat.

I may have to try the GTmat as well. Love the sound of my non-res and test pipes, but need a bottle of Tylenol after longer trips!

I want the exhaust to be noticeable outside the car when driving from stoplight to stoplight, but I don't want the inside of my car to sound like an airplane at highway speeds either.

id go with 12's, but i like my rides to sounds aggressive.

Luckily I got just enough to where it cut down on the annoying drone and volume but not enough to where it takes away from the ballsiness of it.

Peel n Seal works almost as well as brand name soundproofing imo. Put about 50 sq feet in the Z within a week of buying it. lol

I have their numbers but I don't know if they are ok with me giving it out. Just PM them on here, they both work in the housing development they live by so they are busy running that. They do have their weekends free though so you can get ahold of them that way!

Lothario 02-05-2014 07:58 AM

i tracked down kellys number. i have joes somewhere. i tried to get a hold of them. but i went ahead and took care of it myself. thank you though.
