Anyone know where to get stuff chromed around here or do i need to ship it off? Thinking of getting my strut tower brace chromed, or black chromed.

Anyone in the central FL area looking to get there car tuned? I'm good friends with Derek at Advanced Race Technology in Sarasota. He's going to be installing a bunch of mods on my car and Uprev tuning the car afterwards. We will be doing baselines before each mod to get good comparison test results.

How much is he charging for the uprev and how many maps?

UFreefer 02-07-2013 09:48 AM

By additional maps do you mean valet, anti-theft? or do you want different maps for different octanes?

The license to use the uprev is a one time fee unless you swap out your ECM $400.00 to $450.00 then add the cost of the tuner. After the license return tuns should only be for the cost of the tuner.

When you make your appointment, tell him what your looking for. I told Martin what mods I had, what gas I use all the time 91 and I told him I didn't want to go over 10 pounds of boost. I also talked with him about 7AT, he will adjust my transmission line pressures to ensure the extra power doesn't tear up my 7AT.

Just have a plan for what you want! 1st Tune is most expensive, $850.00 to $900.00.

I don't know the exact cost but it will be way below the prices listed above. If they are charging $400-$450 they are ripping people off because you can buy the single uprev tuner license directly from uprev for $300.

Yes, $300 is the cost of the license. That does NOT include the cost of tuning the car, which can vary depending on where you go. I'd say average cost to tune is between $300-$450. So add that to the cost of license and you get $600-$750.

And that is only for the FIRST tune on the car. Any subsequent tunes would just be cost of tuning....license would already be present on the ecu.
