I think you will be pleased to know that parking in Atlanta is a much easier task than in NY. You should not have any issues parking wherever your conference is.

as for safe. I wouldnt trust anyplace inside the perimiter at altanta and some places out.

thanks guys, does anyone have the name of a specific garage they've used?

well truthfully, Atlanta can be fairly spread out and its not the easiest city in the world to get from one end to the other.

Where exactly is your conference and or where you are staying?

aight. Someone familiar with downtown can prolly pinpoint you a bit better. There is a parking garage next to where my company's office is that is very secure. not sure where it is compared to that hotel.

That Marriott has valet parking to a garage nearby ... but it's like $32 a day. Just find out what garage it is and park yourself for like $20 a day. Valet is pretty cool tho, but I am old and lazy ... I don't recall how far walking distance it was but someone else had said it was a bit of a hike and they only did it one day and paid valet the rest of the time.

GT Parking Deck. Pretty secure deck. a few government vehicles are parked on the 5 or 6th floor outside the office windows. This deck is also great for vehicle photographs.however, I highly recommend "valet" at a 4/5 star hotel. if something happens to your car in their care and you see it before taking the car back in your possession. you can file a claim against the hotel and or valet company. typically cover up to $700/$800. FYI if you valet a car and the valet parks the car in the garage its the valet company responsibility. if the valet company parks your car outside the front door of the hotel in one of 3 "premium" spaces and it in under the hotels front over hang.. it is often times considered part of the hotel and damages can be the responsibility of the hotel as well.
