Since I know we've got a couple of forum members in this area, and I've spotted a few other 370z's around, I wanted to try and get a meet organized and a thread going.

It is always a little bit tough to get these things started, but I'm going to do my best to keep things organized and up-to-date in this thread.

Since most of the guys I have seen and talked to appear to be in the same area, I will propose setting up a regular meet near Providence. I'll try to scope out a spot with a good lot for the meet, but if you guys have any suggestions, I am all ears. I'm new to the area, so I'm not as familiar as most of you are.

We also need to set up a time. The default for most car clubs seems to be Saturday or Sunday morning. I'm fine with that, but I know that cutting into weekends can be a little bit difficult for some people. I know the local Subaru group I am a part of meets Wednesday nights, and that seems to work out pretty well for them. Perhaps we could do Thursday nights, so as not to interfere with weekend plans?

I would be up for scheduled meets. I not promissing I can come to all cause how much I work. I work nights and tend to be 7 days a week. Monday through Thursday 4pm - 2:30am. Friday through Sunday 2pm-10pm. But Friday through Sunday I could cut out early a few times if need be.
I would really like to see the Alabama Z crew step it up. Seems to be very quit around here. I would at least like see everyone from the area that is going drive to Z Nationals together if possible.

I would say something maybe Bi-Weekly would be good. Or maybe even once a month on a set Saturday or something.

I'm game for whatever, I just know I wouldn't be able to make it every week. I saw a Black Nismo, and I know where a White Nismo is, though I don't know the person.

I'm going to be out of town next Saturday, and the 23rd there is a general Nissan meet I plan to attend. If you guys can come out, that would be great. Maybe we can catch some more Z owners. Details here

Hey guys, I am the one with the black nismo. I got her about 2 months ago and loving every minute. I will be interesed in meeting up with you guys. Tell me a time and place and I will be there.

Where at? I don't think I have anything planned for that day.

My thought had been Providence Village, or a Starbucks that would be convenient for people. I don't really know the area that well, so I'm open to suggestions.

Well, I don't think I will be able to make it this Saturday. It will be the only time I have a chance to clean/detail the car before I head down the beach the next weekend.

Finally had my windows tinted yesterday. It's got some weird looking spots but I think they will go away after a few days... if not, it has a lifetime warranty.

Yeah, it will likely have some hazy spots for a couple days. Totally normal:tup:

Found 2 small bubbles on the passenger window, curious as to what will happen with them... Might have to get that fixed. We will see.

Btw, You don't by chance work at GE do you?

Where did you get your windows tinted? I am thinking of getting mine done as well.

I went to 1 day auto on University because it was close to work.

Also keep your windows up for a few days to let the tint cure.

Well, Aug 6-13 I will be MIA at the beach.

I could possibly do something on the 4th, this coming Thursday.

I know either Aug. 6th or 13th I will be at Z1 Motorsports getting some work done. It just depends on when the powdercoater gets done with my rims.

So far I am open any of those days.

That was a good meet, and I missed meeting any of you that made it there since I was at some other events that day.

Most of the other groups in North Alabama--Subaru, s2000, Evo, Mustang, Camaro, etc, try to have a regular monthly meet. It's usually at a restaurant and is planned pretty far in advance so everyone can schedule to come.

How does September 3rd sound? I know a new audio shop opening up that would probably step up and support the meet.

Are you changing the color of the rims. I was thinking about changing mine to a black color.

Just letting you know, college football season starts Sept. 3.

Both Alabama and Auburn start at 11ish though.

Thank you very much Parkerman! This is very important information. I'm not a football fan, but I know a lot of people are. I'll let the stereo shop know and see if they'll get a big inflatable screen or something like that to show the game there live.

It's not open yet. They'll be opening in August. A lot of the old staff from Sound on Wheels.

For sure. I'm on the huntsville forum as well. I'd love to get the 350 guys involved as well.

Parkerman, are there any good places to hike/shoot around the area?

The Walls of Jericho is a good place if you like hiking, It's north of Scottsboro I think. Cool scenery, good hike... 4 miles in, and 4 miles out... but the first and last 2 miles are downhill/uphill.

There is also Monte Sano which has several hiking trails, and some good scenery to take pictures of [though I never have]
