Where did they send you to this time?

Red__Zed 11-30-2011 01:20 PM

Dc and atlanta. Not too bad. Traveling has made me miss the last couple meets...still got your clutch spring around here somewhere....

Samir 11-30-2011 02:00 PM

That's why you get paid the big bucks! You always make up the meets with your company at the ones you do make. :) So how's the Subaru? Is just the 5.0 getting seat time?

Ha! Big bucks? I wish :p

Subaru got a lot of seat time recently since I was in DC. Missed the mustang though....

Hey, you've got a job in a down economy, so you're a baller in my book. :tiphat:

What did you miss about the Mustang versus the Subie? Power? Handling? Ergonomics?

The cars just feel very different. There's something special about producing almost 400ft/lbs of torque and sending it to the rear wheels....

On the other hand, the subie feels a lot lighter and more tossable (even more than the z was, even though it wasn't actually lighter). Awd with a turbo four is just an absolute blast to drive around, and it's really hard to get yourself in trouble with the car.

I know the feeling. :) My Corvette is that rwd monster. My Boxster is that tossable fun car. I love them both for different reasons. I guess they're like kids, lol. Wait, there's always a favorite kid...

Saw a blue 350 almost lose it trying to keep up with me exiting off 255 onto 72 this morning...

Also saw Parker but didn't get in a wave.

Samir 12-06-2011 09:54 PM

:O Be careful about that. A friend of mine once beat a new GTO and then watched him wreck pretty bad in the rearview. If I see someone pushing it beyond their means, I stop playing. It's not fun for me anymore when people crash.

I wasn't even pushing it...I just like taking that offramp briskly:roflpuke2:

Samir 12-06-2011 10:53 PM

lol. It's amazing how fast the right line will make your turn. I take the 565 south exit from 255 at 50mph regularly in my bone stock 94 Accord. I can't tell you how many times after the turn I've come up on BMWs who freak out when they see me there.

JDV500 12-14-2011 12:23 PM

i'm in a new red z, living in good ole' owens cross roads. drop me a line when you got something going on. or simply wanna talk shop and mods...
