Clean and loud, but no drone. I like the way the FI looks, as well as Ark.

here is gemini & kinetix hfc - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8XFfDE84K8 personally the best sounding exhaust set up is the motordyne art pipes & motordyne e370 catback. it is loud as f*ck when you want it to be, and quiet once your at cruising speed. The FI has more of a deep bass tone to it, the motordyne is explosive, mean and aggresive and a little higher pitched. it has more of a bark and a bite where the FI has more of a growl, if that make sense. right After I got my art pipes and e370 installed i took a ride in someone elses FI cbe & rHFC and the 2 sounds were pretty different. motordyne set up sounds more exotic the FI set up sounded somewhat close to my gemini because it was a deep bass tone, not to mention the motordyne was much louder. if you like loud exotic sounds, check out some of HUCKs videos for the FI long tube headers and the CBE. i think that is a sexy *** set up, but LTH+install is a bit expensive the best exhaust will be the one you end up buying though! also some stillen gen 3 intakes or takeda cold air intakes would be essential. happy driving ![]() edit; fwiw the g37 and 370z will sound the same.

I do installs on the side and have seen the gamut of exhausts. Nothing comes close to the fit and finish of Fast Intentions. Invidia is absolute garbage, and Motordyne sounds nice, but the gains arent there and lately they've had massive quality control issues. ARK sounds nice but the fit is pretty crappy. FI is the only exhaust I would even consider.

Anyway, here's a vid for you to get an idea of the FI sound, this is my stillen g3/fi lth/ cf non resd cbe set up, and I absolutely love it. I get millions of compliments on it, and it's still a fairly unique setup since a lot of people want resonators or the SS cans or TPs. Also, you're somewhat local, so if you're ever in the brevard county area or if you come to one of our meets, we can go for a drive for you to hear it if you like. I'm sure I can make a Fast Intentions convert out of you yet ![]()

yeah. true dual exhaust. but even at that they are a bit pricey.
whatever you do though, don't mix and match parts, most set ups are optimized to be used with their matching parts - ie FI headers/TP/HFC/CBE, motordyne tp/cbe, ark cbe/tp/hfc etc. if you mix and match parts you will likely get some undesirable noises, but of course there are some mix and match set ups that compliment each other well also. do it once, do it right. i tried saving money with my first set of intakes, hfc and exhaust and I just ended up replacing the whole set up after a year and a half, which just cost me more money in the long run.

dude I feel you, sad to say I came from the honda world where a good skunk racing exhaust would set you back a whopping $400, and DC sports headers were like $250-$300. My FI exhaust cost me like almost $3k with shipping

the FI sounds too calm from the videos I've seen, the Invidia sounded the best (again, videos I've watched). I have considered both though, and I'm not sure which one to buy once I have a little bit of money again. As far as headers, I don't have money/patience to look into headers. The manifold will hold up just fine until I can supercharge the car. Quote:
![]() Can the Invidia really be that bad? What's that? |
