Probably me, we talked about polishing at C&C a few weeks ago.

Do you want to swing by tomorrow and pick it up? My house is about three minutes past Abner Creek. You really can't mess up your car using it, but I really haven't done any heavy polishing. The other Brandon has much more knowledge in that area from what I've seen him post.

I'll stay off my soap box, but you can absolutely screw up your clear coat and/or paint with only a polisher.

I did a full correction on a M3 just before winter that was "polished" by someone else. It took me 3 full compounding steps to remove all the swirls, buffer trails and scratches created by the previous polisher. A good portion of the hood and fenders required light wet sanding even. On top of that, there isn't a lot of clear coat left on the guy's paint now because of how much needed to be removed during the process, given the level of correction he was looking for.
