Yeah the RJM setup is nice if you have an on/off puck disk and pp, but total overkill for the oem clutch. The oem was nice and light, but was a but too vague for my tastes. The helper spring took care of that for me in the beginning. Easy $20 fix

Agreed 100%, I did the helper spring at like 500 miles which corrected the majority of the vague feeling as well.

Speaking of your car... it's next year...let me know when you're ready to have your paint corrected/polished/sealed.

I don't know Rob. Maybe send him an email and copy me on it? jpmcg85@gmail.com

Maybe we can coordinate when you get OG Brandon to work on detail your car. I could take pics the whole day and then do the "shoot" after it's done. Or something like that.

i'm planning to add long tube headers or test pipes soon (have intake and exhaust now). does anyone have any experience with an Uprev tune here and where to get one/pricing ballpark near charleston? Im also interested in a throttle map as well. i'm unsure if they are usually done at the same time.

When you say "throttle map", I'm wondering what you mean exactly?

I have had my truck tuned twice by Z1 in ATL, retuned because I added more mods, and was happy with the tune both times.

Phantom recently went up to MotionLab in Charlotte to get his Uprev tune. His review is a couple pages back of his experience which was overall positive.

Basically by throttle map i mean tweaking throttle response and reducing drive by wire delay feel. Does that make sense? Im not too familiar with these things as i am still new to this whole area

This is usually all done with an uprev tune although I did not have a normal tune experience...I called in a favor with Joseph Davis up in Asheville

Throttle response is greatly improved with a tune, even on a stock car.

A light flywheel will significantly improve overall response as well. Apart from the aesthetic and acoustic benefits of exhaust and intake, fw is one of the best benefit/dollar changes you can make imo
jooonnn and phantom370z like this.

I'd certainly recommend Motion Lab in Charlotte if you're willing to drive that far. Take a look at my review HERE, it should answer most of your questions. I don't know of anyone specifically in Charleston to recommend but one of the guys from that area may. In terms of price I'd say you should expect to pay anywhere from 300-600 depending on what you are looking for and who does the work. Those numbers are based off of quotes I got and what I actually paid. Also keep in mind that you need a Uprev license so that will of course add to your cost and there are several choices in that category as well.

would you suggest flywheel over say test pipes or long tube headers for overall perceptible improvements? it looks like the LTH and flywheel install are pretty similar in install times so i wouldnt mind doing either for my next project, i'm just unsure if a new flywheel also requires a new tune
