Made some ramps today guys. They are still a WIP and I'm still deciding if I want to go 1 Step Higher or not...probably not just for oil changes and such because it already gets pretty high. The Nismo lip clears, thanks to measuring and notches on the 3rd step,and it rolls right up the ramps with no issues. They weigh over 9,000 lbs but they are probably strong enough to put a tank on them..solid construction 2x12's and of course the screws are recessed and it's all sanded nicely.

I don't have the details of the spring itself. Check out LMBMikeZ's thread: FS: Clutch Helper Springs!!!! Century Spring P/N 72577

You know it! Those saw horses have been through hell and back though for real.

Now I just need to get my Zspeed undershroud, some oil, and a filter and I'm ready to roll. Probably go with AMSOIL or Red Line 5w30 to start with and then do an analysis. I already have an appropriate filtermag and a magnetic drain plug ready to rock. Hopefully next weekend I'll get the oil changed if everything comes in timely enough.

I finally have enough miles on the car to get my first oil change which Crown does at no cost. There is a warranty item I need them to address.

I'll probably switch to mobil1 after this oil change. Amsoil has too much marketing behind it although I understand they use Mobil1 base stock. I've used Redline in my Harleys in the past, no complaints.

Do you trust Crown's service department? I've yet to have a good experience with them on my grandfather's Frontier.

I haven't had a problem with them since they've been in business.

Nissan of Greer tried to sell my a "4 wheel alignment" on my truck because the outside edge of my tires on the driver's side were slightly more worn than the rest. I pointed out that I take two hard right hand corners a day, every day, which could mean they wear out slightly more on that side. It would also help if they X'ed them instead of just front to back rotates. Anyway, I told them "No thanks, I'll check the alignment myself and adjust it if need be." The guy looked at me as though he was insulted and said "Oh... you have a 4 wheel alignment machine at home?" I was shocked he was so sarcastic to a customer but I replied "No, I have a tape measure and I know that my only adjustment on this truck is toe and that can be done with a tape measure." He left me alone after that. It's amazing what service writers try to pull. I used to be one but I never tried to sell a customer something they didn't absolutely need and if you know you have an enthusiast customer (many of my customers were Porsche enthusiast owners), you treat them differently because they actually know what's wrong with their car before they bring it in most of the time.

After some looking around I have the spring specs.

OD = 1.100"
ID = 0.860"
uncompressed Length = 2.500"

The upgraded spring uses a 52 lb/in compression factor

I found a couple options under $10 that will fit with spring rates down to 38lbs/in

If you can find a better option than what's already been made I'd be interested in one. I need to take the one out that's in there and paint it yellow so that Nissan is none the wiser.

If you haven't checked into it, check out the RJM pedal setup. I really can't say enough good things about it. That is how a clutch should feel, and you can dial in the firmness and engagement window you prefer.

I will absolutely be doing this down the road after warranty is completely gone. I drove a 370z with it and it was amazing. That being said 10-20 dollars for just the spring is a great low cost improvement.

Also, I just talked to Joe @ Zspeed and ordered the black front diffuser for my Nismo. Easy access oil filter door FTW.
