Supposedly my car should be fixed today. So I'll be looking to get it to an alignment shop asap this afternoon, or first thing tomorrow morning. After that, I'm all up for cruising.

We're going to meet at the Swansea/cola truck stop parking lot (exit 115) at noon, easiest spot for everyone in general, but we are also picking up more people on the way down.

Oooookay, so the update I just got, they've spent the last hour and 45 minutes trying to get my car on the rack. Apparently being lowered and having FI 1st gen pipes, the cans are hanging too low to get it on the machine.

I just told them if they can to take the rear sections off and get it on the GAWDDAMN machine, get it fixed and gimme back my key!

To the guys credit he's been up front with me and told me everything that's been going on. So it's not a fault on him, bad business practices, and my shitty luck are what are killing me. Otherwise the tech is a good dude.

Ok, he just called me back, and they tried backing the car onto the rack and it worked so my car is finally a week later getting the frame alignment checked. He said he's gonna call me back in an hour and a half to give me an update. He says the goal is to get it done today. They close at 6...

We shall see.

Was that your Red Nismo in Charleston (Rivers Ave) Saturday night during that down pour? I was in my VW GTi, no way I was driving my Z in that rain.

On another note; it has been my experience that sometimes you don't want to rush the body shop. I understand the separation anxiety but the last thing you want is for them to do a shitty job and the Z starts to handle way different from you are familiar with. I'm not trying to pontificate...I'm just saying do a thorough test drive.
