bad news guys, autox canceled today

Janis Shook, the Parking Services office manager, sent me an email yesterday saying that we cannot use the lot this weekend. I got in touch with her immediately and found out that there was some HIGH miscommunication in the parking office. Apparently I was supposed to talk to her in the beginning of the semester, and Vanessa, the DIRECTOR OF PARKING SERVICES, is not the one to talk to in order to reserve lots. David went by her office this morning to ask her what the deal was and he was informed that there is a national ROTC thing taking place on the lot, and that they had the lot reserved as far back as last semester. David even went and spoke with the ROTC event coordinator to see if we could run both events simultaneously, but no dice, they will be having too many people on the lot.

I am pissed. How the hell do they have such bad communication? This makes the club look like crap and ruins plans for many people this weekend, not to mention we have already paid for insurance (which I think we can get back, not sure until Julie Pantas emails us back).

Again I am really sorry guys, I really wish she had told us earlier and we would have stuck with the March 12th day we were considering. I will get an email sent out tonight so everyone who doesn't check the forums will know about the cancellation. But please spread the word, we don't want anyone showing up at 8am looking for an autocross...

That stinks! Well, I guess the Z is staying in Charleston this time. If you all still want to meet up for a drive on Saturday morning I can probably borrow my Dad's supercharged Miata. It has the infamous doors!

sorry about this, parking services as clemson has done nothing but screw over the CSCC for the past year or so. i think it's time for a picket line

They have been screwing over everyone as far pack as I can remember. I can't tell you how many parking tickets I got for the dumbest reasons while I was at school. Eventually I got a motorcycle so I could park in front of the buildings.

Im still in for Sunday aswell. Clemsonwill you should bring the Z and cruise with it on Sunday! Matthew if you get back early you still in for the cruise?

It's not worth putting the miles on two cars just to go for a cruise on Sunday. I'm still down to meet up and maybe go for a drive if my Dad let's me borrow his car. As the weather gets warmer I will be making more trips to the upstate. I'll definitely bring the Z at some point. Looking hard at April 2nd.

since you paid to register, if they didn't refund you, you should be able to transfer that credit to the autox the day of the CMF
