Another ATL Z Mountain Run in OCTOBER -- Vote for the BEST DATE
 

What's up guys? I think it's about time for another mountain run. Below is the information about the route we did the last time. Please vote on the date(s) that works best for you so I can finalize everything. YOU MAY CHOOSE MULTIPLE DATES. I hope we will have a bigger group than the last one we did in June.

Riverstone Pkwy to I-575 S - Google Maps Scroll left to find the route in BLUE
1. Leave Canton Starbucks - get a coffee for on the road (point A)
2. Stop 1 at the overlook - take some pics and enjoy the scenery
3. Stop 2 if lunchtime stop at Chic-fil-A in Dahlonega with possible pictures at lake Zwerner just north of there (point G on map).
4. Stop at Vogel state park - not sure if we have to pay to get in, but maybe stop there for a minute.
5. Head back folks from the east-side can take 400 back south, other take rt 53 through Dawsonville to Tate, which is a nice route.

I'm going to be updating this daily. This is a great time for a mountain run guys. Temperature should be significantly cooler by then.

Sounds like a plan. Not sure how my schedule will look on the days posted, but whatever day/date that is planned, I will do my best to attend.

My guess is that we're going to end up doing it on a Saturday. When we did it in June John aka JvKintheUSA and Spencer from Z1 were essential in our route. We'll be counting on their availability.

wont have october schedule til the 15th or 16th of september.

I do know I cant go the weekend of the 15/16 October, as I will be at Road America in WI.

I don't know if my tires can handle another mountain run. I might slide right off the mountain. I might be a Maybe on this.

No hockey games would be missed by any of the dates as all are away games. We should be able to make any time if we have a Friday night game. The 23rd is the date of the Auburn/LSU game. If we buy tickets for the game it would take out the 23rd and 24th for us.

not in on this one... the last one was not so relaxed of a drive as i thought it would be...

boo. this will be fun. I don't expect people to be going all crazy.

I didn't think people were going crazy last time. Then again, it was my first mountain run. Jadebox, if you want to attend we can definitely meet as a group before we head out to discuss the pace of the run.
