I'll be at S&R Performance Saturday if you guys are interested. Their Poker Run is Sunday.

What time are they working on your car? Are you going there to do the baseline/motordyne manifold comparison? If so, I'll probably go.

Son of a fvcking whore -- I just got a CEL tonight

Just to make sure this isn't something else -- is the "service engine soon" light the same for all issues or is it possible that something else is fvcked up?

Argh -- guess I need to get the code to see what's the matter. I suppose it could also be the mysterious evap problem some people have.

Did you put steel wool in the O2 sensor bungs? CEL's on test pipes are pretty common....you might need to get O2 extenders

Also, I sent him a PM on TampaRacing.com to send you my drf files

Thanks for the drf request

No, but looks like I'll have to. Confirmed the code as for catalyst. These had the extra long defoulers already, so I'm really surprised... grrr.

What kind of steel wool do you guys use -- not the soapy ones I take it?

I couldn't find plain steel wool at the store -- will copper wool do or should I keep looking for steel?

UFreefer 10-01-2010 02:41 PM

No problem.

It probably doesn't matter but I was able to find normal steel wool at Publix/Sweetbay...I would guess Lowes and Home Depot carry it as well. It should take care of your CEL issue

Hmm -- guess I'll try looking elsewhere. So use the stuff that looks like actual fabric in consistency, not the stuff that resembles a balled up net?

Oh, what's your name when I follow up with Daryl? Thanks again!

UFreefer 10-01-2010 08:00 PM

No it looks like a balled netted material and comes in the shape of a small sponge pad. My name is Phil

Did you try the steel wool yet?

Did they send you my graphs yet?

Haven't had a chance to do either -- I'll call them tomorrow or Wedensday. Thanks again!

Dynoing the M370 manifold at Proven power on Saturday at 1030...could use an extra hand to swap the manifold out quickly after the baseline if anyone can make it

If I take off work Friday, I'll see if I can get my tune Friday and then I could help you out Saturday and dyno mine as well.

That would be cool...I want to see what yours does on their dyno. Weather on Friday and Saturday looks good too! They would only charge you $30 for 3 pulls

Exactly my thoughts.

Hey all,

Couple of folks have PM'd me asking about the S-tune exhaust.

It is installed and sounds great! The butt dyno, while imprecise, detects some mid range gains.

But... data > vague impressions with your butt, so I'll be hitting the dyno sometime this week and will post detailed graphs of the results soon

Still have my intakes to install and recently received a set of shiny PPE headers -- these are beautiful, BTW! Each has a nice high temp, ceramic coating, stepped primaries, and sweet merge collector -- should make decent gains.

Just got to get them on... dynos will be posted for that as well :D

Looking forward to seeing the results of the headers!
