got $600 to spend, what should I get?
Like the topic says, I have about $600 to spend. What performance mod should I get? HFCs, headers, intake or something else? This will be the first mod for the car. Come on guys, give me some advise!
Thanks |

Hmm... I would save up a little more and get a catback.
Otherwise, HFCs are going to be your best bang for the buck mod. You could get FI, Berk, or Stillen for under $600. For considerably less (about $370) you can get the ERZ HFCs. If you got those, you could get Stillen sway bars as well. :D |
Stillen G3, CBE is more important IMO, so I'd save for that if it's going to be awhile before you have the money for it again.
|
The thing about intakes is they really do nothing but sound cool. If you actually want power you can feel for under $600, HFCs are it.
|
HFC's are the way to go.

I gotta do a little research on the ERZ HFCs. How are they compare with BERK's HFCs? |

Noob question: Are HFC street legal?

I know in Virginia HFCs may pass an emissions test but depending on the shop could fail a visual inspection. Any modification to the emissions system of the car is illegal in VA. |

Come to Z1, we'll take care of you. We can do a before and after dyno if you would like to see the gains. You're going to love that car if you don't love it already.

I also agree with HFCs. If state law prohibits you, I'd personally save up a little more money and go with a CBE. |

There you go.... http://www.the370z.com/south-east-re...4-25-meet.html Hope to see you there!!! |

I haven't seen a county that they are illegal in. |
well I would go Stillen G3 intakes as the first mod.
CBE are nice for sound and power, but the good power adder ones will run twice+ of your budget. If you want the best bang for your buck though, i'd go with test pipes + y-pipe. Might run you about half of our budget and give you the best power gains (not just peak but overall full powre band, AKA useable power) Also test pipes + y-pipe will run around half your budget. ALSO John! reread my PM!! |
anybody know how much will a HFCs installation run for me?
|
Buy my exhaust for $400 w/ free install and take the $200 and put it toward lowering springs!

is the exhaust going to be loud for a DD? I've looked for the sound clip on youtube but to hear in person is probably more ideal:tup::tup:
