Mini meet: Detailing car + whatnot

Hey guys just wanted to try and put together a mini meet.

Alex who details proffesionally can come out and detail our cars. I for one am going to get a full exterior job done. Alex will post his prices and details on what he does here hopefully soon.

I know James was interested as well.

Also if we turn this into a mini event, hopefully we can do it at someones place where they have the capacity. We can grill out (everyone contribute an item) we can do some modifications if people have simple stuff to put on.

Overall a general friendly meet.

Right now if we want to ask Alex for a full detail job, maybe 3 cars. IF he brings his detailing friend then perhaps 6 cars (we can't have him out in the sun for 12 hours!) but in the end its up to him.

exterior wash and one stage cleaner/sealant for $45 (2+ people)
exterior wash and three stage clay/compound & polish/wax or sealant for $100 (2 + people)

So lets get this discussion going!

P.S Alex is a good guy so come out and support him if you can. He was really helpful at the Z1 dyno meet in trying to help people with scratch's, dents etc.

Editing first post to keep information up to date:

I can do an exterior wash and one stage cleaner/sealant for $45 if there are 2+ people interested. My normal price is $65.

I can offer you all an exterior wash and three stage clay/compound & polish/wax or sealant for $100 if there is more than one car to detail that day. I usually charge upwards of 150 for this.

I'd be glad to help anyone with scratches while I am there as well. Thank you.

Alex

aight guys I know I am gonna go for the 3 stage thin myself. What days work best for people and or when.

Im good with almost any saturday or sunday, except for the 16th weekend and the 30th.

Any suggested locations?

If they are not already in we can help James out with his new mod!

My schedule is pretty open Dai. I try to keep my weekends light for R & R. I guess that leaves us the weekend of the 10th or 24th. That works for me bro. As for location, I'm flexible........

My vote goes to Z1, distance does not matter on the weekends for me, thats why I got a car I like driving so much.

I speak to John just about everyday. He says that we are welcomed at Z1 anytime we want to come out. They enjoy having us at the shop believe it or not :driving:

hrmm.. well if z1 works we could do that. people know where it is. might even be able to coordinate the timing with your exhaust james. and if its a bit out perhaps my stuff.

The guys from Boombop Shop said that I should have it by next weekend when I spoke to them last week. I haven't spoken to them this week yet. With all of the stories on the forum with delays when it comes to exhausts, I'm preparing myself for a longer wait. So we might be getting our mods installed around the same time.

Z1 may not be bad for this because while some of us get detailed, others can be getting parts installed. Just a thought........Then again, if someone would like to host at their house and BBQ we could to that too.

daisuke149 07-07-2010 11:39 AM

Yeah John offered the bays to us which is nice of him. If they let us use their grill I wouldnt mind bringing some stuff and grilling out there. Im sure we could all pitch!

But who else wants their cars done? and what do you want done! start postin!
