(I won't be there) but for August we still need to figure out. People need to chime in on what weekends are best normally and sat or sunday. |

July 17 - Forged Dyno Day
Weekend of July 24 is open July 28 - August 1 - ZCon August 5 - Varsity Meet August 8 - Caffeine and Octane July 15 - I'm going with my brother to the NSXPrime meet in Cobb County, in case anyone else wanted to crash their party with me! ;) in reference to an above post: i'd vote on a 2nd sat/sun of the month for a regular meet. so that would give the varsity&CO the first weekend, 370z the second weekend, 350z the third weekend, and whatever else is open for the end of the month... |
Augusta is so far away! Ugh. I get to watch all the NC ppl, Florida ppl, and atl ppl have fun while I sit in the middle.

If a group of the guys are willing to caravan to Augusta, I'm definitely down for that. You would just have to find a spot for all of us to hang out for a day when we get there. I don't think it's an unreasonable drive. What do people think?:driving: |

Hmm...Not sure if you're talking about the same place. This is at Taco Mac Perimeter. We figured it would be central to everyone (Canton, Alpharetta, Gwinnett, Southside, etc.) There are PLENTY of parking (for hundreds of cars). It's not in front of taco mac but on top of the deck. Also, we have a lot of Slammed cars that made up there without any problem. Never once did we hear any complaint from others. The Maxima group also has their meets there as well and they were very nice and friendly. I'm just throwing the options out there for everyone. We have different cars too: Euro, domestic, etc. that came to the meet. But it's mainly Nissan Z and G cars. FYI, here's couple pics from one of our meet: http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/IMGP3081.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/IMGP3078.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/IMGP3074.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/IMGP3057.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/IMGP3049.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/IMGP3036.jpg |
Anyhow, I'll continue to post up our reminders for the monthly meet. Any one is welcomed to come out to meet, chit chat, and dine with us. We don't favor any cars as we're all Automotive enthusiasts.
Also, with regards to specific "events", we'll have these things posted properly. Please keep in mind this is just a monthly meeting structure. Events such as Dyno day, Mod day, Detailing day, N.GA Mountain cruise, etc. are being held separately. |

Also I dontknow how to do double quotes, but yes James, lets do a July Meet. Weekend of 24th. I'll start a Another thread for a 24th meet. Lets keep this one on track for discussion of the monthly agenda. |

Another thing that I would be up for in the fall, is something we used to do when the 350Z was new, and that is to have a mod day/picnic at my house. Gives the chance for people without tools or experience to install stuff on their car with the help of more knowlegable people, and builds a great sense of community. |

I'd never ask the entire state of GA to come to the opposite side. ATL is a great spot for stuff. Centrally located and lots of places to choose from. There will be plenty of opportunities for me to take a drive on the weekend, especially if it's in the heart of ATL. The drive to Z1 wasn't bad at all, and I'm looking forward to doing it again! |
If labor day weekend is ok with everyone then sat or Sunday will work

But I'll be out of town that weekend. Any other ones should be fine though  |

Dude what are you doing up at 2:45 in the morning? Rest does the body good homes. |
Daisuke is nocturnal.
On a side note, I just saw Twilight for the first time, thought it would be good for a laugh. Watch the scene near the beginning where the girl walks by the fan into the lab where the vampire dude is looking. Its in slow motion. When she walks by, cue the main line in the song "j*zzed in my pants" by The Lonely Islands. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBgb91KXFGI I guarantee you will be laughing your a** off, lol. PS- the movie was even worse than I was told, what a junky waste of time with a bunch of weird people staring at each other indefinately. To quote Dave Attell: "There's a certain type of woman who's into vampires....... let's call them.. fat." Sorry, I digress. :happydance: |
Nice to see more ATL area interest being generated. I miss going to the monthly Z/G meets at Taco Mac. My car was there the day those pics above were taken. Good times.

and yes.. twilight is probably one of the worst movie's ive ever seen. (not worst ever, just worst i've seen, and i've seen rambo 4...) I think you could throw a couple of monkeys and donkeys into the movie and they woulda done a better acting job. |
Rambo 4 was all fun and gore until they started shooting and bayonetting kids, that was a bit out of my fun gore movie zone.
|
I opt for a drive rather than a eat/drink meet. Driving is more fun and you do not gain weight.
|
James and I are heading to Z1 in the morning if anyone else is planning on going out that way. Should be there around 10.
He is getting some work done and I am dropping off parts for them. |
