Performance shop in Charlotte, NC area?
I've got some HFC's on the way and after reading some of the nightmare stories, I'm considering having a shop do the install. I'd have to buy some beefier tools anyway if I wanted to tackle it myself so I'm figuring it's about the same cost either way.
Seems like it should take a shop 45 minutes to an hour for the install but I can't find a one that has worked on a 370 yet. Right now I've been quoted for 2 hours at $75/hour. For that price, I'd rather do it myself. So anyone know of a shop in the Charlotte area that could do the work in about an hour? Or better yet, anyone in the area done this install and want to lend a hand in exchange for pizza and beer? |

Cool thanks man. Any shops in particular that you have experience with or would recommend? I actually decided I'm going to try this install myself but it'll be good to know of a shop in case I fail miserably. Hopefully I don't run into as many problems as I've heard about...

Well if you want to meet up and hear mine after I install them let me know. Might help you make your decision. Also I can lend a hand with your install if you want...assuming I don't screw mine up

sounds good. If you want a hand just let me know, as long as i'm not tied with the wife. What brand did you go with? I was leaning towards the berk, but now i think i'm going to just get the FI resonated ones.
I just can't make up my mind on a cat back... |

It's one of those jobs that looks really easy on the surface but can be extremely frustrating and time consuming. Many of the bolts used to hold the cats are incredibly tight and require significant persuasion to break free, using some good extensions, universals, and impact tools.

For the cat back, I'm planning on going with FI. That Berk does sound awesome in the vids though... Quote:
