NC State Inspection Help

Anyone have a contact to help out with passing an NC state inspection? My car doesn't have cats but otherwise would pass the inspection. No SES lights. Please PM me

Default NC State Inspection Help

Anyone have a contact to help out with passing an NC state inspection? My car doesn't have cats but otherwise would pass the inspection. No SES lights. Please PM me if you know someone that can help out. Thanks!

If you are not getting any lights, you will pass inspection. I've never seen anyone mention cats on a safety inspection. The "smog" is ECU only and not a tailpipe.

Cats are required in NC. It's a visual inspection for them (and normally a code would be thrown). You can easily smell that it doesn't have cats so I'm sure they'll take a look.

Well, if it's any incentive.....I was an NC state inspector back in my mechanic days. I didn't give a **** about the cats and really only cared about tires during the safety.
