Looks good, but from the pics, I think you installed the Luxury Liner Pro upside down.
The foam is supposed to attach to the foil and the vynyl is supposed be visable.
Flip it around and you will get much better results.

Son of a bitch, you are right. That really sucks. Not sure I feel like tearing apart my car and redoing it. Your pictures of the product is kind of misleading, because it makes it look like the vinyl side should be facing down, not the foam.

Other than that though, great write-up. That should give me all the info I need to do the install myself.

Good thing I have lots of LLP left over. Now I just need to decide whether or not its worth ripping up and redoing. I wonder if it really makes that big of a difference?

Um... The pictures are just pictures of the product.

Is this the one you are talking about?

Not sure how misleading they can be.. Especially when the instructions we emailed you tell you exactly how to install it.

Did you not read the instructions we sent?

Performance wise it will make a big difference.
Well, it will if you use a good amount of material.
If you only use let say... 1 sheet, then in either case it is not nearly enough to do the full car, so you wouldnt get good results either way.
If you installed 5 sheets in all upside down, then yes, it would make a huge difference..

Mainly because it shows the foam side up in that picture. I did read the instructions, poorly.

Honestly, I don't think it is even possible to use too much more in the trunk area. You could possibly stretch it to 1 1/2 sheets in the trunk, but I think fitment of the panels/styrofoam would be a real issue even with that much installed.

In a month or so I'm going to take apart the car again and redo the LLP in the trunk. It shouldn't take too much time, maybe 3-4 hours total, so it's not a huge deal, just a bit of a pain.

I still noticed a pretty big difference in road noise, so I'm still happy with the results even if it is upside-down.

Glad to hear you like the results.
You can imagine how our customers feel that use the right amount to sound deadening the entire car.
The difference is night and day!

ANT,

Apologies to you and the forum - I had some personal stuff come up and had to delay my install. I will install your product this upcoming Tuesday and will post the results ASAP.

FYI, got the damplifier down over the weekend (have half of a sheet left), will hopefully do the LLP this weekend and post results.

Hey Ant,

I'm planning on redoing the LLP in my hatch area, but somehow I've managed to run low on the adhesive spray. Is there something comparable that I can buy at like Home Depot/Lowes? I'd rather not spend $18 + $12 shipping just for a can of adhesive.

I found this at Home Depot:
Contact 80 Neoprene Vinyl Spray Adhesive - 80 at The Home Depot Will that work fine?

I have never used that specific type but it looks solid.
The only considerationi s how much heat it can withstand.
Some adhesives will melt at 150-180 f.
As long as it can take the heat, you will be fine..
