The comparison was used as an example of an offensive war that they later were able to apologize for. BTW did you see the Godwin's law thing in parenthesis? Just some FYI: my Grand parents are Jewish survivors that made it through the war and they see what has happened in the last 6 years and they disapprove of our actions.
