IMO most people didn't vote for him because of his skin color, they voted for him because they thought he was the best choice, and a few months is not enough time to see how his decisions pan out. In business it's common to say "you've got to spend money to make money." Do you think our financial system would have righted itself in a short time without some sort of government intervention? I don't. And if Obama hadn't done anything at all the same shrill whiners would be bitching and moaning about his lack of effort to fix the economy. Dude + rep for you. I wasn't going to touch this because it seemed way to troll-ish for me but you pretty much summed up exactly how I feel. BTW I can't buy any ammo either. You have to get to sportsman's warehouse on the day of the shipment in the morning and there are already crazed scared people lining up to buy it all up. So frustrating!

Thanks! And I didn't even comment on the outrage du jour. Obama trying to normalize relations with Cuba and shaking hands with Chavez. The right was outraged, OUTRAGED I tell you!! And I don't understand why. What has 50 years of isolation gotten us in the fight against communism? Nowhere. What did isolating Chavez do for us? Nothing except make him an attention whore throwing tantrums. I see nothing absolutely wrong with engaging other countries and leaders. We don't have to agree with them, but the respectful thing to do is at least listen.

When we have a fight or disagreement with a wife or friend do we just knock them around or ignore them? Not if we want to have a relationship we don't. Running around the world and kicking the asses of people we don't agree with hasn't gotten us anywhere in the last 50 years, I for one am happy to see Obama taking a different approach with his foreign policy.

**OT** What kind of guns do you have? I have a Kahr PM9, a S&W M&P 9 and a Remington 810 pump action shotgun for home defense.

I have a suggestion!

1)How about we let the economy fix itself ( OMG!?!?!) rather then spending money? (also btw, for those complaining about Bush's spending, Obama has already surpassed that.... Bush was in term for 8 years. Obama has been in term for...?)

2)IMO spending money for people to have free condoms, coupons to buy tvs, food stamps to buy beer, and giving out free cell phones w/ free minutes isn't going to boost the ****ing economy either. ALL thoese items are PRIVILEGES! Those are items that I have to work for, why is it fair for others not to work for these same items????

3)I say we reinstate the draft. Make people actually show faith in their country again. Free food, free education and all you have to do is serve your country. This same country that has given you an opportunity to live your dreams. "Ask not what this country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

4)Release all the stoners from jail, actually enforce the death penalty for murderes, rapist, child molesters. Start making examples of people for the serious crimes they commit rather than holding them in a jail; giving them 3 square meals a day while they sit back on their cot watching tv. I believe in "Eye for an Eye."

5)Get rid of all the labor unions!

I am not having a blast working two jobs right now.. but guess what. I Like driving my car, I like living in my own house. I like having my own personal possesions that I have bust my *** off to have. I am not going to b*tch out and ask for government assistance to TAKE what isn't mine.

Says the guy who isn't living in the state behind Michigan for worst unemployment. Yeah we have kids with Masters degrees here either moving out of state or working for MC'D's...and there's a line.

BTW, I am a gun owner and I have a concealed carry permit. There is no way Obama is going to take away our guns, it's nothing but fear mongering/pandering from the right. It does suck right now because all the conspiracy theorists keep buying up all of the GD ammo! I can't even go to the range right now.

You know whats funny we reelected george bush for a second term and no one really challenge him about his decisions about iraq till his second term, yet our current president has only been in charge for 3-4 months and the right is bashing him already. People forgot that he inherited the economy we in right now and the wars we fighting. Is it he's fault that the media covered his dog other than the hostage pirate crisis, he trusted the military to make the kill when the hostage life was in danger and he made the right call and handled it quietly and beautifully.

The fear mongering that the republicans is doing is going a lil out of hand, show me a clip or an interview where obama says that he's going to take guns out of peoples hands. People are afraid that he's going to raise tax, but those tax money goes back to the community to build bridges and fix roads etc, it pretty much comes back to you. I'm not a Obama nuthugger at all there's still some decisions that he made i don't agree with at all.

But pls stop the fear mongering, when you hear rush limbaugh says I wish that president obama fail and you hear other republicans like Bobby Jindal actually defend him is an outrage they pretty much said they want their country to fail. I've been in the military for 7 years and when i hear someone says that they want my commander in chief to fail, i think thats the most unpratriotic and disrespectuf act to all my fellow brothers who died fighting for their country.

Sorry about the rant it just irritates me when people bash my commander in chief whether their republican or democrat based on incorrect facts.

First let me say, I truely am greatful that you choose to serve/protect our country, and I applaud you for that.

2nd, I feel the same as you. But when our current Commander in Cheif goes around apologizing for our actions in the past? My grandfather fought and died for this country, and our current president wants to apologize to these other nations who wanted to blow us off the map??? He can go **** himself.

^Do you think its absurd that Germany apologized for its past mistakes in war and relations?(not trying to pull Godwin's law here) They are our allies and one of our major medical bases for hurt soldiers.
