This is a hand carved street sign in ancient Pompeii pointing the way to the "women earning a living" section..Not everyone spoke Latin but this is a sign in a universal language!

I should mention I fully realize there is nothing great in these photos...we were with a group and moving along with them .. I post them only because to me this is like sharing a few shots with friends and not photo critics. I thought you would enjoy seeing what the ancient world was like and a few shots of what its like today in Italy..
