Infrared pictures?

Hi, i was wondering if anyone has done infrared photos and if you could explain what i need and what settings. I dont think my current camera is capable and

Default Infrared pictures?

Hi, i was wondering if anyone has done infrared photos and if you could explain what i need and what settings. I dont think my current camera is capable and im planning to upgrade within a few months. I got a canon t3 right now....starter camera.

I don't know if it's still true, but back in the Good Old Days, CCDs were sensitive to IR and there was an IR filter in front of the CCD. Removing the IR filter and using an IR-transparent ND filter would yield pretty good IR pics.

Yea i read about that but that is a permanent solution and this is my only camera besides an old point n shoot, so i dont want to do that.
