Ford SVT Raptor Photoshoot - 8/7/11
it seems like on any given weekend that i'm back home in hickory i'm shooting some kind of porsche (or ferrari) for one of my clients who has a collection of them. my contact with them usually calls me the week before to arrange it and we go from there. last week, he called and asked if i would take a few pictures of a new t-shirt the company (heritage motorwerks) had made, showing the 930 turbo i shot pictures of a couple years ago, with the car itself in the vault at the client's house. i agreed but said "that shouldn't take long, let's shoot something else too!" my contact knew i had been wanting to take pictures of the client's new toy, the ford raptor he recently purchased, so he arranged for us to get it for a few hours. normally i shoot most of this customer's cars at the airport since the vehicles are usually there and are either not tagged/street legal or not the kind of car you risk taking out on the road. since this one was, however, we decided to use another friend's land outside of hickory to get some shots of it off pavement in it's more natural environment. unfortunately the drive out there took so much time, when we got there we pretty much had to jump out and shoot before the sun went completely down. my friend marcus from highschool also tagged along so there's an image of him taking a picture in the album as well...
