It's about the same price for the panorama gear from Really Right Stuff, but automates the capture. Supposedly it comes with the software to stitch as well. If you set it up to correct for parallax errors it makes it very easy from what I understand.

The Gigapan seems cool but overkill IMO unless you plan on a massive print.
