I'm not a pro but I've been doing this off and on for the last 15 years and I like quality. I don't care to sell my material. I just want good pictures and I do everything from desert landscapes and portraits with limited action shots (but probably going to be heavier on that side come summer time). My buddy says the D750 should be the ticket here. But I'm obsessed with overkill and I believe the 810 would be serious overkill for my use. Anyone with experience on one, the other or both? Care to chime in?
