I should also shoot RAW more. I rarely do just because of the memory usage. Its foolish on my part cause I edit a lot of what I shoot.

I want to shoot RAW, which is a big part of the reason I want a program to work with the files. The nikon software is super slow.

Im on the GIMP programs. Though Im no fancy schmancy photographer/editer. I get all I need done in there. Or even Picasa, lol!! Ill throw a pic in there, darken the shadows up a bit, crop and viola

Lr is the way to go if you don't want to spend the cash on full Photoshop.

That offer for $99 for Lr was if you also bought Ps or the CS suite. If you're a student it's $75 no matter what.
