Some new shots taken tuesday night around 10:30pm

These shots are a little older,

Otis!!!!

Juno!!!

Thunderstorm... Obviously. A vehicle passed during the long exposure which lit up the field/road a little and left the light trail

Same storm, No tilt

Cardinal spotted on the nature trail

Shot in the main streets of downtown, Denver CO. They have pianos set up along the streets and this was a shot I took of a random guy playing.

That thunderstorm shot with the streaking taillights is something you should do your HDR stuff on!
What kind of lens did you use for the shot of the Camaro by itself? There's a bit of a curve/distortion that makes it even more interesting. The sky is awesome!
Like the low-angle shot of the 350 a lot! If I was going to be nit-picky, I would soften or remove the spot reflection on the front bumper - I find it really distracting... my eye goes right to it! And remove the lightpole coming out of the roof of the 350 taillight shot, too.
More Otis!

Thanks. HDR's never turn out good for me if there's not much light to begin with cause your trying to merge a wide spectrum of light into one shot and at night its just all dark instead contrasty like a bright sky and then dark shadow areas.

The lens for those 4 car shots I used the Nikon 16-35mm f/4 VR I think it was a 30 second exposure and I walked around the car using my speed light a few times but shooting a black car at night even with flash is a little tricky...... At least for me.

It was totally dark out, between 10:30-11pm when I took these. I shot in RAW, added some warmth, and was able to really pull out a lot of color in the sky, when in the original picture it only showed hints of blue but was mainly a grey sky.

Yeah on that 350 shot I already removed a lot of reflections on the door and new those on the front panel and bumper would just be taking more time to remove so I decided to move on to the others and forgot to try and get those out of there afterwards.

Yeah I might do a different edit of that 350z rear shot. We'll see.

That's one of the few good shots of Otis that I've taken with my DSLR. Mainly iPhone photos.

Appreciate the feedback

Unlike others, I don't dig the sky on Camaro... it looks polluted with ugly yellow city lights... because it is. The Camaro itself looks very nice, though.
The red "angry bird" picture is pretty cool... very nice contrast.
I like the piano pic too... you couldn't get this aperture better!
The two pictures with thunders are probably one of the best pics I've ever seen (which doesn't say much, but still...)

Haha thanks.

Yeah I admit I went overboard on the warmth but just wanted to have a lot of color.

The cardinal picture I took with our 70-300mm I believe and then just added some vignetting

Yeah I was really close to him taking that piano shot. It was taken with our Sigma 30mm wide open at f1.4 on a D90, so technically a 50mm.

Thanks for the compliment. I worked hard on those getting them just right

My 370 looks extra distorted in that first pic

Your Z looks really good in that picture... but it's not because of the camera... its just a very good looking Z. But I see what you're saying - the color of your Z in that picture looks more like Daytona Blue than Monterey Blue.
BTW, do you not have skyscrapers in that city with the 5 level parking deck? Picture would look better with skyscrapers in the background or at least in the skyline.

Thank you. I changed the blues a little to make it pop.

And no skyscrapers here in Plano unfortunately. These are just shops with limited parking space so they built tall garages for extra space, sux!

Found this guy at the park..

98mm f5.6, 1/320, ISO 400

I'm a complete noob to photography and DSLR's.. I found a used Nikon D3100 on ebay last month for a good price. Also bought 2 additional lenses. Really all my knowledge I've gained in the last month or so has come from this thread, Youtube, and a DSLR book for dummies that I bought a couple weeks ago lol. I've learned a lot from you guys but obviously I'm still in the learning phase
