That squirrel is cute because he's not robbing my birdfeeder.

I do not hate them. Your lighting is getiing better and better, IMO.

HKYStormFront 08-10-2012 06:35 PM

lighting looks good, model's poses weren't bad but the location is terribly boring. studio shots are all and well but these don't feel like that. they feel like an impromptu thing in your living room (which they may well be). try again at a good location and see how much they will improve

(or maybe add a prop and/or chair... something else in the frame)

Haha It is a living room!
A girlfriend of mine has a basically unfurnished bachelorette's apartment that I've been using to shoot in. Alas, it's not big enough to put up the seamless backdrop, so beat up hardwood floor and blank wall it is. I thought it had a loft kind of feel, but maybe I'm giving it too much credit.
Edit: I guess I thought my shooting space looked like this: http://images.freshnessmag.com/wp-co...ookbook-00.jpg
It's been too damn hot and humid to shoot people outside. Fall can't get here soon enough!

HKYStormFront 08-10-2012 06:48 PM

no argument from me here on that one!

Cmike2780 08-10-2012 07:42 PM

She's hot

Still shooting in my girlfriend's bachelorette pad, but without the impromptu thing in my living room feeling simply by leaving the floor and baseboard out of the image. Could have been a seamless backdrop for all you know ;)

Then I took it outside.
