Mr. Kenchan -- What did I tell you? Leave the fruit and junk for the neophytes. Nice stuff.

My new zoom showed up today -- it's a monster.

I had to take the picture with the wife's CoolPix. I hope to get out and about this weekend and shoot some stuff.

I have been using Canons since I started a while back -- 1973 or so. I almost went with the 60D, but it is not as large as the 7D. The 7D is mostly metal construction, shoots a little faster than the 60D -- the big factor was how it fits in my hand. The 5D I also considered, but could not justify in my head the cost.

Nikons are definitely sweet and I believe Nikon and Canon to be equal overall. I still have a Nikon F 35mm and it is a tank. The D 7000 is a camera that every raves about. I just went Canon due to lots of brand experience.

gotcha. My little brother shoots the same camera, it is definitely a nice one. I am thinking about making the jump to the 5D, but I like how fast the 7D is.

I shared a few shots from my honeymoon, and I have a few car shots up here. I don't generally post the stuff I really like online though.

One thing to consider with the 5D is that it is full frame -- not all lenses work with it and there is no multiplier -- e.g. a 28-135 is a "real" 28-135. A 28 - 135 on a 7D is like a 44.8 - 216.

oh i see... hummm... can you water mark it and post online or is it just a private matter? i assume your shots are top notch considering the equipment you're talking about.

Yeah...that is why I want it!

Also, holy chit. This seems too good to be true, but the seller is well known. WTF?

No, I'm just learning as well. The wife is hijacking my d3100 most of the time, and I figure I might as well go straight to something legit rather than wasting time and money on another mid-range camera.

I'm not so much worried about having images stolen, I just feel like it cheapens the shots some. I am the same way with music....yet I have no issue doing a cd....I guess I am just weird.
