Anyone have a recommendation for a good, yet reasonably priced, flash for a 60d?

I need an external flash myself. That and a nice tripod, been puttin that off forever.

I like the 580EX II but damn it's expensive.

I'd personally stick to the Canon Speedlights and also buy an off shoe flash cord. Even something like a Speedlight 270EX will be 100 times better than the built-in and it's pretty inexpensive compared to the more powerfull flashes. Get the 430EX if it's within your budget (more versatile). Either will let you direct the flash other than straigh on, which is huge in how your images come out.
