I was shooting another car today and I took a couple of my own. Here's one. HDR shot with bracketing (true HDR). I'm not a fan of the outlandish HDR that has become commonplace for whatever reason where everything looks like a cartoon. Having said that, this is one of my zanier shots via post.

Like the watermark on the garage door. Clever!

Yep, that was a slick idea putting the water mark on the garage door. I do stuff like that with my work from time to time.

I'm with everyone else. That watermark on the garage door looks awesome

I'm liking the 'natural' HDR.

Question...

How do I make a path selection from the pen tool (CS3)
Also, how do I make a separate selection within the first (inside it) without losing the original path (outer)?

Did that make sense?

Nevermind the second question... the pen tool allows you to select a new section without losing the first one.

More to the point... how do I make the selected path "active" so that I may cut the selection etc.?

Go to your channels fine the selection and right click plus press control.

Shift should give you the + to add to the selection.

Ok.. so in order to make the selected path active and be able to "cut" or "copy" it from the selection what I did was left click the vector mask thumbnail on the layer then go to edit and hit "clear". This takes away the layer altogether but frees up the selection to do whatever you want (ie cut, copy etc.)

You got me going in the right direction there and for that I thank you fine sir

That is true of the eliptical or marquee tools but not the pen tool for what I am referring to.
