Here is a shot of Daisy, psycho dog, shot with my 100 - 400 and flash fill. 260mm. 1/250th, f 5.6 (ISO 1000 -- I had been shooting low light and forgot to reset it).

That's nice. Not at all as noisy as what I seem to be getting from ISO 1000... at least not resized down to that size.

I try to keep the editing to a minimum. If wasn't a good shot to begin with, I junk it. As a hairdresser, and specifically, a colourist, the thing I hate to see most is "cheating" with post-production to enhance haircolour. It's usually obvious and I don't know who these people think they're fooling.
Below is a side-by-side of the original and edited images. Cropped, and minor fine tuning of the contrast were about all that were needed. I used a mask to add noise and a grainy texture to the background for a grittier feeling.

Love the Bucket Man shot Luna:tup:

Here is a pic I snapped in the Bahamas back in 2010. I was focusing on the art. When I took the shot I didnt even notice the man had one leg.

Luna and Achemy -- those are nice shots.

I've tooled around with photography for the past year. A month ago I picked up a T3i + a 50mm f/1.8 lens... and today I got to try 'em out.

While my creativity is typically limited to writing, I'm trying to push myself into other fields for the sake of diversity.

you definitely got the rule of thirds down... also since you have a good idea about composition, try to stay out of auto mode... it's a waste to have a DSLR and use auto

Thanks!
Here's two more from my archives... before I decided, for some unknown reason, to put the camera down for a while.

hey guys,

So some of you might know I recently got engaged. I took some pictures of the ring and I figured I'd share it with you guys. But, at the moment I only have them on facebook, so the quality has suffered. Let me know what you think!
