• Picture 1) There must be a blade of grass or something else clouding your son's left eye (your right). It makes that eye look duller than the other. This may be easy enough to Photoshop out. Other than that, I love the coy smile on his face.

• Picture 4) I am not a fan of the tree in the background right between your wife and son. Although it is far enough away and out-of-focus, to me, it distracts you from the two subject's beautiful faces.

Sometimes you have to take a picture at the "spur of the moment" to capture the scene, so there may be nothing that could have been done beforehand. Still, I love any type of photography and keep up the excellent work.

I agree with everything you said. First though, these were shoots that I did for clients, not my family. I don't have kids thank God haha :)

Anyway, you're right, there was a plant stem right between us and I didn't notice it until I got back home to edit, the sun was too bright for me to see it in the camera screen. I'm not sure how to edit it out, so I convinced myself I liked it because it adds perspective *cough cough bullshít*

The tree between the mom and daughter gave me pause, I wasn't sure if I should remove it or if it was distracting or not. I'll take it out.

Thanks for the input buddy!

Trying to figure out how this guy is doing this type of picture, his name is Christopher McKenney and he's doing some really cool (albeit creepy) stuff. I'm thinking double exposure, blend in Photoshop? http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e22a74b762.jpg

Finished up a quick little shoot for the wife the other day, she wanted to enter a competition for a sunglasses company. Here's a few of the results, let me know what you guys think or what I can do differently.

I would assume multiple shots and layers selectively pulling through elements. Just how people do levitation shots. Take a shot of the area, then a shot of you for say planking on a stool then stack and pull through the background making the stool disappear.

Huck what do you shoot with?

Huck 04-23-2016 06:49 PM

Nikon D750, and the kit lens (which I'm actually pretty happy with) 24-120 f/4. It's a pretty good walk around lens, the bokeh is nice (and I'm a big fan of using bokeh) and the focus is pretty good. Looking at adding a 50mm f/1.4 AF-S and a 28-300 VR later on down the road as a wedding starter package.
