True. Some people really like the Sigma lenses, but I have been using Canon for 35 plus years. Not one of my probably 30 or so Canon lenses I have owned, used and abused has ever failed.

There's a bunch of benefits, but honestly with how good crop sensors cameras are getting, I don't see a need to go to a full frame body. I would like better low light/high ISO performance than what my D90 can do, though. FF is typically better at high ISO performance.

yeah I've heard good things about Sigma as well, maybe I'll try one out.

That would be amazing. I have the el-cheapo 70-200 which does the job, but f/2.8 would be great.

I go to a lot of sporting events and this lens would be amazing...I was at the Laker game a couple nights ago and could've really used it. Still got some decent shots with my Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 but I was craving a lower f stop at 100-135mm

Yeah same here. Racing for me. Day is OK with what I have now, but at night it's a crapshoot.

I've heard these bits and pieces here and there...is there a good technical explanation somewhere I can read?

 I love motion car photography.

The day after I bought my EF 70-300 I went to the NASCAR night race at Richmond... had a really tough time with it even with all the lighting they had. I'm sure a lot of it was because I was total n00b with it.

These are some of the ones that came out of the 1,000+ shots I took that night back in 2009. I was having all sorts of trouble with light and getting the color right. Not to mention I'm sitting in a grand stand with a lot of vibration and there's smoke and stuff floating through the air (from the cars and from the people) creating a bit of a haze.

None of these have been edited.

Those are great shots!
I plan do be doing portraiture and fashion photography as relates to my work, but I'm always up for pointing my camera at other things.

I get hard for L glass. Should be a bumper sticker.

Hahaha on the overcompensating.

I want these coffee mugs:
