If you're in a position where your skill has improved to where your 60D is limiting you, the next step is to go with either the 7D Mark II or the budget friendly full frame 6D. Nothing below that will be any kind of upgrade over the 60D. Higher end camera give you more focus points, better low light sensitivity, more usable ISO (emphasis on USABLE), more flash control, and better ergonomics, amongst other things.

Most people are limited by their lenses more so than their camera. What kind of lenses are you using currently?

good info!! I've got a Canon T3i with the lens that it came with. I've been shooting here and there for the past year and got some good shots off with it, but I'm pretty sure the lens is my limiter at this point. My problem is I'm lost when it comes to the equipment. I have no idea what to get as far as upgrading the lens.

I usually shoot in 2 different scenarios...
1. Car shots, of course!
2. Active shots at Endurance Sports Races. I have a coaching/training business for athletes and a team that helps raise money for animal shelters

So what would be the recommendation for the next lens to buy to further my skills????

thanks!!
Brian

Thanks man. Yeah my fab guy does amazing work. I asked him to give me rounded edges on the lip because I wanted to paint the tank after and make it look as if it wasn't modified. Same thing with my 0304. I like to have my stunt bikes look like normal bikes, So when I am on the streets I don't attract unwanted attention.

A little natural light practice.

Great shot! What camera settings you used on this pic if you don't mind to share?

redstarcg 08-14-2015 10:21 AM

I dont mind at all. Not sure if it will help with anything or not but;
F11, Iso 64, shutter was about 125.

Used a polarizing filter and took about 3 photos with different rotations. Afterwards a lot of editing lol.

Haven't posted anything in a while because I haven't shot anything in a while. I did travel up to Raleigh about a month ago to shoot a fully restored Porsche 356 for Mecum Auctions. It was a cool little car, and the restoration job was done very well. It sold this past weekend in Monterey, though I don't know for how much...

Here are some nice pics from my recent vacation to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. They are from the Flume Gorge to be exact.
